Who we are

We are a charitable environmental trust, working in association with the Historic Churches Preservation Trust. It is non-denominational and was founded in July 1996 to help to meet an urgent need for support for the fabric of our beautiful and historic churches and chapels.

    Our strength is in our membership of individuals and organisations who recognise the very special beauty and value Somerset's churches and chapels. Membership is now some 600 strong and is spread throughout the county and further afield. It includes individuals, families, PCCs, church and chapel congregations and business organisations.

    Our funds are raised through membership subscriptions, gifts, bequests and events
