Examples of Grants recently awarded include:

Clutton, St Augustine of Hippo:  £1,500 for roof and lead gutter repairs.

Durston, St John the Baptist:  £5,000 for lead gutter repairs to whole building.

High Ham, St Andrew:  £2,000 for tower repairs and conservation.

 

Grants awarded at a meeting of the FSCC Trustees held on 7th October 2008 in Baltonsborough were as follows:

 

Badgworth, St Congar.  £1,500 for internal plaster repairs

Glastonbury, St Patrick’s Chapel:  £1,000 for repairs to the rendering of external walls, cleaning of  stone mouldings, and application of  shelter coat,  Also repairs to the lime  plaster on internal walls and selected roof repairs.

Henstridge, St Nicholas:  £3,000 for stone tile roofing repairs to north aisle and north chapel.

Misterton, St Leonard:  £500 for roofing repairs to Nave north slope, with associated pointing.

Nettlecombe, Blessed Virgin Mary:  £500   for tower repairs - repointing from a rope !

North Wootton, St Peter:   £1,000 for lead roof repairs to south nave slope & porch repointing.

Winscombe, St James the Great:  £500 for urgent repairs to west window of tower.

 

A high proportion of the money donated each year to Somerset  churches and chapels is raised by supporters of the Trust who take part in the annual Cycle Ride held on the second Saturday in September.
